Assistant R&D Tax Consultant

The Company provides specialist advice to innovative businesses throughout the UK enabling their R&D projects through Research and Development Tax Credits. R&D Tax Credits are a generous government incentive designed to boost investment in the UK economy and reward forward thinking. The benefit is delivered through the corporation tax system and can be complex and overwhelming for most companies. That’s where we come in, we visit companies of all shapes and sizes all over the UK and analyse their potential to be able to claim. This involves gaining a thorough understanding of how their business operates and the difficulties faced in their development projects. We then turn all this information into a report that explains to HMRC the R&D projects the company is doing and how much tax benefit they should be receiving.

The Role

The main role of the successful candidate will be in compiling the claim report which is ultimately sent to HMRC. This is done by digesting large volumes of data in the form of voice recordings, technical documentation, web research and excel spreadsheets.

The Candidate

The right candidate will be fascinated by the inner workings of a business and eager to learn detail about the R&D projects undertaken. They will have great writing skills, tenacity and a positive mindset. They will also not be afraid to muck in and get the job done when needed.
