Sofia plays a key role in helping businesses maximise the value of their innovation through R&D tax relief, grants and patents. With a focus on client success, she works closely with clients throughout the claim process — ensuring their experience is seamless, transparent and rewarding from start to finish.

Her hybrid role combines relationship management with strategic business development. Sofia builds strong, long-term partnerships, nurtures new opportunities, and collaborates with referral partners to expand Kene’s impact across the UK’s innovation landscape.

With a BA in International Relations, Sofia previously worked at a leading Insurtech start-up before joining Kene. Fluent in three languages, she has supported clients across industries from software and clean tech to advanced manufacturing — with a particular passion for companies driving sustainable innovation.

One of her proudest projects was working with Plai, a multi-reality studio pioneering extended reality and interactive worlds. The client had previously struggled with their R&D tax relief provider, often chasing them for updates. Sofia and the team turned the process around – delivering a smoother, more efficient experience and securing them a significantly larger tax rebate than they had received before.

Outside of work, Sofia is captain of her football team and is always on the lookout for new hobbies around London. In recent years, she’s taken on a stand-up comedy course, a furniture-making workshop and even a few coding courses – because why settle for just one hobby?
