Gabriele Griggs

Business Development Consultant

Gabriele plays a pivotal role in helping businesses navigate the complex landscape of innovation funding. She specialises in networking, managing relationships and supporting members of key industry groups such as the Midlands Aerospace Alliance, Silverstone Technology Cluster and Additive Manufacturing UK. By keeping these businesses up to date with legislative changes, she ensures they can access crucial funding through Patent Box, R&D tax credits and innovation grants.

With a BSc in Criminology from LSBU and a 2:1 degree, Gabriele has built an impressive career spanning a decade in business development. She brings a wealth of experience, having spent four years in R&D tax credits – including working at one of the largest global providers – and five years in recruitment. Her deep passion for engineering spans aerospace, oil and gas and motorsport, though she remains sector-agnostic in her enthusiasm for innovation across all industries.

A standout achievement in her career came early on when she secured the largest R&D claim in her company's history. The process took six months, and as a junior at the time, it was a significant milestone that earned her a promotion to National Accounts. Since then, she has developed a passion for working with large, complex organisations with multiple decision-makers and subsidiaries.

Outside of work, Gabriele is a keen cook with a love for fine dining, classical cooking and gastronomy. She’s also a novice gardener, attempting to grow her own vegetables with her fiancé, and an enthusiastic crafter – though many of her projects end up in what she fondly calls her "hobby graveyard."

Her next big milestone? Making her TV debut in 2025 – though she’s keeping the details under wraps for now!
